How much interior room will the 2024 Kia Sportage in Rio Rancho, NM offer?

When Kia–the South Korean car company–redesigned their Sportage small crossover last year, part of their aim was to offer more interior room than vehicles like the Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V or Nissan Rogue Sport. This fifth generation of the Sportage is remarkable in being able to offer the same amount of seating and legroom (31.4”) for both the front and rear passengers! Most 2024 Sportage models (including the LX, EX, SX, and SX Prestige) use a 2.5-liter four cylinder engine, rated at 187 HP, driving through the front wheels with a new eight speed automatic transmission. EPA ratings are 23 cities, 30 highways, and 26 combined for FWD models. There are two additional drivetrains available in the Sportage Turbo Hybrid and Turbo Plug-in models. The all-new X-Pro and X-Pro Prestige models also gain an off-road tuned suspension, Active-AWD, and BF Goodrich off-road tires for those consumers with an adventurous outdoor spirit.

The 2024 Kia Sportage also offers a futuristic cabin with an asymmetric console, giving the driver greater access to controls, and an available panoramic dual-screen display that displays both performance and entertainment information. Beyond the extra space, passengers can access on-screen controls for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in all Sportage models, as well as a WiFi hotspot with 4G LTE based internet for up to five devices. Not to be outdone, the exterior styling of the Sportage features distinctive “boomerang” LED daytime running lights surrounding a tiger nose grille with large black KIA graphic that floats above it. Crisp lines and angular fenders terminate at the rear with sweeping tail lights that are connected via a thin black strip on the tailgate.

Safety a Priority

Beyond all this, Kia will also equip the Sportage with its most advanced safety equipment package, including lane keeping and forward collision avoidance to detect pedestrians, bike riders and other cars in front of the vehicle. Cross traffic and Reverse Parking Distance Warning (RPD-W) will also issue an audible warning if traffic or obstacles behind the Sportage are detected.  Driver Attention Warning (DAW) is a system that will monitor the driver’s attention level and will suggest a break if it drops. When Will the 2024 Kia Sportage Arrive near Rio Rancho, NM?

While Kia has not yet announced pricing on the 2024 Sportage, it is expected to start near the pricing for the 2023 models at $25,990 for the FWD LX model and to top out at $36,790 for the X-Pro Prestige AWD.
