The 2025 Kia EV9 might be just the extended range EV that combines cutting-edge technology with the luxurious features, space and entertainment needed. Introduced in 2024, the Kia EV9 continues into the 2025 model year unchanged as it has proven to be reliable and affordable for this market segment. For 2024, Kia offered the EV9 in no less than five different trim-levels, starting at $56,395. There are rumors that a sixth high-performance option may be added, so stay tuned. Different options within the same EV9 model line mean consumers can pick from whether they want RWD or AWD, and from six-to-seven passenger configurations. Besides choosing a SUV that maximizes interior space and efficiency, in 2024 you could also pick from nine exterior paint options and nine different interior colors to further individualize your EV9. For 2025, we expect some of those options may change.

Changes to the 2025 Kia EV9 near Rio Rancho NM

While Kia first introduced the EV9 to the North American market last year, it was years in the making, and Kia engineers incorporated some innovative design features into it. Built on Kia's largest modular e-platform, it uses a flat monocoque platform that can utilize different steel bodywork for alternate models. For the EV9, the roofline is extended behind the B-pillar to create copious room for a 122” wheelbase, three rows of passengers and a cargo area. The 2025 Kia EV9 styling is futuristic with a blunt, but aerodynamically shaped front end with slim LED headlights upfront and T-shaped taillights. Depending on the model, the EV9 comes with 18-20” wheels pushed to the edges of the bodywork to maximize interior space. Powertrain-wise, the EV9 uses a 76.1 kWh battery pack in the entry level EV9 Light model to power the rear wheels for a maximum range of 270-miles. Other EV9 models use AWD with dual electric motors and a 99.8 kWh battery for up to 304 miles with the long range option. Also offered in 2025 will be the EV9 GT-line model with a whopping 576 HP dual engine powering AWD. All EV9s will utilize Kia’s 800-watt electrical system that allows for DC quick charging. This type of charging can add 100 miles of range in just 13 minutes with one of the highest charging rates in the industry. Of course, the 2025 Kia EV9 carries the same industry leading 5-year, 60K mile bumper-to-bumper warranty and 10 year, 100K mile powertrain warranty.
