March 22nd, 2022 by

The 2022 model received some minor updates, including an LX Technology package, the new Kia badging, a 10.25-inch infotainment display with built-in navigation on most trims, and sadly for stick fans, the manual transmission was discontinued. Additional noteworthy features include a wireless smartphone charger, Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, dual climate control, dual USB charging ports, and push-button start. The upcoming 2023 Kia Soul near Santa Fe, NM will likely arrive as a carryover model with no major changes.

Exterior Style

Depending upon which of the six trims you opt for, you’ll get a customizable Kia Soul with loads of personality to complement your sense of style. The GT-Line model will make you feel like a motorsport hotshot if you want a sporty look. Or perhaps you’d like something a bit more rugged-looking. If so, then try the off-road inspired X-Line model with body cladding, unique 18-inch alloy rims, and ready-to-go style that’s just right.
The black honeycomb front grille, multi-reflective headlights, and standard 16-inch wheels look good on all models. When you choose the top-of-the-line Turbo trim, you’ll get extra horsepower along with cool exterior extras such as chrome-tipped dual exhausts, a power sunroof, LED headlights and taillights, and fog lights. Ten exterior paint colors to choose from leave plenty of options for a custom look.

Performance and Fuel Economy
A naturally aspirated, 2.0-liter 4-cylinder delivering 147 hp and 132 lb-ft of torque is the standard engine under the hood of most Kia Soul models. However, the Soul Turbo trim comes equipped with a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-pot that puts out 201 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque. The EX trim may be the ideal selection by offering a nice balance of power and fuel efficiency. It gets 28 mpg city, 33 mpg on the highway, and 30 mpg combined.

Interior Features of the 2023 Kia Soul near Santa Fe, NM
Inside the Soul, supportive and comfortable seating for up to five passengers awaits you with over 100 cubic feet of passenger space. The high roofline of the vehicle will even accommodate tall adults comfortably in the back seat if needed. Behind the rear seat, you’ll find 24.2 cubic feet of cargo space, which expands to 62.1 cubes when the 60/40 split-folding seats are folded down, giving you plenty of room for hauling your stuff.
Driver-assist safety features include Forward Collision-Avoidance, Lane-Keep Assist, Smart Cruise Control, Blind-Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance, and Pedestrian Detection. However, if you purchase the base LX trim, you’ll need to add the LX Technology Package ($900) to get all the features listed.
